Abstract (English):
Introduction: the article elaborates on contemporary aspects of increasing the effectiveness of international legal mechanisms of countering terrorism as a global threat to peace and security. Results: different ways of transformation of UN mechanisms are discussed, and many myths about international terrorism and counter-terrorism strategies as reflected in international law doctrines and states’ practices are put into question.
