Abstract and keywords

Abstract (English):
The paper considers general theoretical and practical problems of countering criminality of extremist and terrorist orientation. The relevance of the study is confirmed by empirical data, theoretical provisions, as well as analysis of the current legislation. The authors come to the conclusion that it is necessary to conduct fundamental and systematic studies of the phenomena of extremism and terrorism, the improvement of normative legal acts and the preventive activity of law enforcement bodies, which together contribute to the identification and minimization of the causes and conditions of these types of crime.
